Between January and August 2018, Coltart Contracts worked with Sportscotland to enhance accessibility and parking at Inverclyde Sports Centre. Key parts of the contract included a substantial car park extension, construction of two pedestrian ramps, and associated landscaping. Major works encompassed tree clearance, surface and structural works, and new footpaths and retaining walls.
For Inverclyde, our approach focused on combining functionality, accessibility, and durability. We started with mass excavation to prepare site levels, ensuring stable foundations for the ramps and retaining walls. We selected robust materials suitable for heavy use and harsh weather, while coordinating multiple trades and keeping the site safe. Close collaboration with Sportscotland ensured design alignment and minimal disruption.
